Presidential Candidates’ Man-O-Meter Ratings
The presidential candidates (major party’s front runners) listed in alphabetical order are rated below based on their characteristics, mannerisms, and the overall demeanors that they project in their campaigns. I consider a rating of 1F (in the pink zone) - 1M (in the blue zone) to be in balance. The MAN-O-METER ratings in no way projects any potential winners, nor endorses any candidates. I have not interviewed any candidates and like most voters can discern only by what I have seen and heard in the media.
John McCain (R) |
Balanced Masculine
If elected, Mr. McCain might be somewhat rigid. In some instances he has changed his positions as his viewpoint has changed, indicating flexibility. He would reach out to critics, though he has not always handled critics well. He can be somewhat confrontational and has been insulting in his words. He speaks passionately from the heart and in what he believes in, irregardless of what others belief, including speaking up against what his own party propounds. |

Barack Obama (D) |
Balanced Masculine
If elected, he would seek to bring unity and view himself as a uniter. Obama would be guided by his feelings and seek also to show that he is the person in charge. In seeking to achieve consensus he would appear at times to have no position or might be afraid to rock-the-boat. He has in recent months begun to find his “voice,” and is more readily able to express his power. This has brought him to a 1F from a 2F. |
